Oh yeah... a blog

It's been a while, I know, but time apart can be good sometimes right? At any rate I am finding that Pie is definitely a love but what about other sweet treats? I am thinking a change is in order... but what? There were a lot of question marks placed just then and I think you can all help me out with this!
 

I am feeling unsure on what direction the Sweetie Pie blog should take. My current interests are very much fixed on baked goods still but can include more fashion, home design things, gardening, sewing, random rants and whatever my silly mind may think up. 

New name? New style? 

You tell me.
 

PS: I have a phone that can take MOVING PICTURES. HMMM HMM - How about that!

The Healing Pie

One of my very good friends recently had brain surgery (Scary, I know!). He is now on the mend though, and I would like to dedicate my Lemon Meringue Pie to him!

When I first found out about the surgery to come I of course had to ask Garrett about his top 3 favorite pies... When Lemon Meringue was first mentioned I was worried because I had never attempted a Meringue thus far. This, however, was about to change!

I tackled the Meringue and graciously won the delicious task.
Now, let us hope that Garrett can tackle his task of being healthy again! Too bad brain surgery is not as simple as a Lemon Meringue Pie!

I would like to think that the Love I bake into my Pies is exuded out with every bite.

It held together well - Yay!
